I am a current Master’s Thesis student at the Colorado School of Mines, in the Civil and Environmental Engineering program. My research topic involves closed-circuit desalination by Reverse Osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF)on brackish groundwater found within the Navajo Reservation. Specifically, this RO/NF system will run autonomously through renewable energy, such as solar. The main idea is to be able to provide high quality drinking water for the community at various drinking water wells in remote areas that cannot be easily added to the electrical grid.
